An inspiring introduction and exploration into one of Wilmington’s most influential and personal non-profits.
Kids Making It is an organization focused on bringing skills, workmanship and practical opportunities to at risk youth in our community. Through carpentry, woodworking and the trades; they nurture and mentor young people from all demographics keeping them engaged and excited, in school, out of trouble and into the workforce. Targeting students from broken homes who lack the finances, resources or GPA to attend college, KMI partners with local contractors in search of quality employees to get these students jobs after graduation.
On top of that, they have a storefront selling gorgeous goods and wares hand made by the students and 100% of the profit goes back into the hands of these children in need. If you can’t tell -we’re fired up and passionate about this movement, 25 years in the making and absolutely honored to be their video production team.
