An unexpected invitation from a kid he hardly knows changes everything for an eighth grader with Down syndrome.

Just like the boys

A beautiful short film written and directed by nineteen year old Emma Grace Wright, produced and crewed by Honey Head Films. The Deep End is a slice of life that allows the audience to step into the world of a loving and pure character with a disability and potentially shift their perspective about fitting in.

Honey Head was founded to give voice to those underrepresented characters in cinema and The Deep End truly aligned with that vision. We handpicked our crew knowing these key players would need to be kind and adaptable above all else and are proud to say women held 50% of crew positions throughout production. The film is currently in festival circulation boasting Official Selections at the critically acclaimed, international River Run Film Fest & New York City Independent Film Festival.
